Tempo Shoe or Something Else?

Altra Vanish Tempo ($190) 

In the video I take the Altra Vanish Tempo for a first run: Shoe Details, Fit, Ride, Conclusions. Is it really a “Tempo” shoe or something else? It is for sure the most pleasant and energetic Altra I have ever run and I have run almost all over the years and one of the most fun training rides of 2022, so far.

The Tempo has an energetic, softer supercritical EGO Pro foam midsole with no plate and a very comfortable and secure upper with notably much better rear hold than its race cousin the Vanish Carbon. 

It has the same 33mm stack height and foam but with no plate as the Vanish Carbon has and weighing about an ounce more. 

At 8.5 oz / 240 g US8.5 its weight is competitive for high stack shoes.
